PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degassing method for a residual gas in a gas cylinder degassing a used gas cylinder in safety, and preventing the environmental contamination and the fire and explosion accident caused by a large amount of gas cylinders stocked without being treated in a state of waiting the degassing work to be condemned. SOLUTION: A gas taking-out port of the cylinder including the residual gas, is connected to a recovery tank, a hole is formed on a bottom part of the cylinder by means of a drill, and the water and the like is injected from the hole by a pump to push out the residual gas to the recovery tank side.
