PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhering device for a friction substance to a core plate for a lockup clutch and its method capable of conducting the heat evenly to the friction substance adhesion surface of the core plate even in the condition that a minor degree of surface unevenness remains at the rear surface of the core plate (opposite side face of the adhesion surface) and securing a bonding strength or preventing the producing efficiency from dropping. SOLUTION: The adhering method and device for the friction substance to place the friction substance and the core plate on a heated member is furnished with a process or a mechanism whereby a heat required to make adhesion is supplied to the adhesion part through a member 25 capable of expanding and shrinking having heat conductiveness.
