PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the following inconveniences: configuration of a personal identification system using a magnetic card or an IC card is expensive, and a conventional key switch accepts only a single signal and cannot perform personal identification, in spite of increased demand for entrance/exit control at many sites including a common entrance of an apartment, a building side door, a factory gate, a laboratory entrance, office entrance, etc., and in spite of increased demand for personal identification for use at a common storage etc. of personal packages: and to provide a mechanism which carries out simplified personal identification by using a duplicate key of the owner. SOLUTION: According to the mechanism, a shaft is attached to a driver pin of a cylinder, for identifying each duplicate key by a cylinder accommodating the duplicate key therein, and the shaft is protruded from the cylinder, followed by obtaining the location and protruding length of the shaft.
