PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking/unlocking device for a cabinet, which can be manually set to a locking state even if a cylinder lock has been kept in the locking state when an electric trouble arises under an electrically unlocking state of the device. SOLUTION: According to the locking/unlocking device, an electric actuator 12 is mounted on a mounting plate on the rear of an operating plate 2, and a rotational driving output of the electric actuator 12 is converted via a converting mechanism into movement of an operating arm 4 which operates in the same direction as that of the operating plate 2, to thereby lock/unlock the cabinet by the movement. Further the operating plate 2 is interlocked with the operating arm 4 via a constant torque transmission joint 14. Therefore even if an electric trouble arises under the electrically unlocking state of the device, the operating arm 4 is kept in an unlocking position, and only the operating plate 2 is slid by the constant torque transmission joint 14 to be retreated in an unlocking direction, followed by moving the operating plate in a locking direction again. Thus the operating arm 4 is moved together with the operating plate in the locking direction, to thereby achieve locking of the cabinet. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
