PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quasi-non-combustible wood board having a definite fire retardancy defined as a quasi-non-combustible material or a flame-retardant material by Building Standard Law while such characteristics as moisture conditioning properties, heat insulating properties and safety to hazardous substances are satisfied, and applicable to various uses such as interior finishing materials and advantageous to industrial practicing. SOLUTION: The quasi-non-combustible wood board 1 is manufactured by coating strands 3 prepared by cutting a log 2 with a small diameter with a mixture in which a thermoplastic adhesive comprising a polyethylene glycol water solution and a flame-retardant comprising ammonium polyphosphate are mixed, and molding and hot-pressing it into a plate-like shape.
