The delay circuit for ON and OFF switching of consumer appliance (M) comprises LM 555 integrated circuit timer (IC550) in control circuit (Vcc-GND) actuated by making of switch (S). The timer contains RC time members (R8-C7) for on delay and (R10-C7) for OFF delay. The delayed output of integrated circuit timer switches-on the consumer appliance, while the breaking of switch initiates off delay for switching-off the consumer appliance, preferably the breaking of switch initiates off delay via a diode (D8).
