摘要 PURPOSE: A method for recognizing a self position is provided to analyze distance information and direction information between a landmark and a mobile body in response to the first and second outline information, thereby exactly performing a self position recognizing process without being influenced by non-linear characteristics of a camera. CONSTITUTION: A system extracts characteristic data necessary for data landmark recognition from a landmark image obtained by a camera(1310). The system compares the characteristic data of the extracted landmark image with characteristic data of a reference landmark image, and recognizes which landmark includes the obtained landmark image(1320). If a position of a mobile body is confirmed by recognizing a landmark, the system analyzes distance information and direction information between the landmark and the mobile body, and perceives a detailed position of the mobile body(1350). The system performs a calibration process of converting distance values of the image into physical distance values(1360).
