PURPOSE: An automatic locking device of a four-wheel driving unit is provided to control by electric signals from electronic control units of a traction control and an electronic controlled power steering. CONSTITUTION: A viscous hub(34) is formed between a double differential unit(46) and a viscous coupling unit(48) in one side of an outer case(52) to transfer power via a right carrier(50) of the double differential unit. A drive gear hub(36) is formed in one side of the viscous hub while connecting with a left carrier to be connected with a left linear gear of the double differential unit. A sleeve(38) is installed to transfer power by interrupting the viscous hub and the drive gear hub. A vacuum actuator(37) is installed to variably control the sleeve by using a fork or a shaft and transferring the operating force. An operating switch(40) feeds power by operating a vacuum pump for generating vacuum. A lamp(42) is installed to check the locking of four driving wheels by turning on the operating switch. Thereby, the four wheels are driven without unnecessary power though a viscous coupling unit is slipped. |
