摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic image forming apparatus by which the occurrence of a defective image such as development unevenness is eliminated by starting development in a state that toner coating on a developer carrier is stabilized before the development even though the speeding-up of an image forming apparatus is attained.

SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic image forming apparatus possessing a developing roller which carries developer and is rotatable so as to develop a latent image formed on a photoreceptive drum, image forming operation is started after preliminarily rotating the developing roller after receiving an image forming signal.
