<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a plurality of image signal input/output operations effectively. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided an image forming device comprising a control means for executing processes based on a priority, and a specifying means for specifying the priority of an image signal input/output operation. According to the control means, when a plurality of image signal input/output operation requests are received (step 110), the received requests are searched for a process of high priority (step 111) to determine whether a process on execution can be interrupted or not (step 112). If the interruption is possible, the priority of the process, i.e., image signal input/output operation, on execution is compared to that of the received operation request of high priority (step 113). When the priority of the process on execution is lower, it is interrupted (step 114) to allow the received operation request to be executed (step 115) first, which is followed by the resumption of the interrupted process (step 116).
