<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve good accelerating performance of a vehicle with a fluid coupling. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle controlling device comprises an engine 100, a motor generator 500 assisting the engine 100, and a fluid coupling 200 transmitting the driving power input from the motor generator 500 to an automatic transmission 300. The vehicle controlling device also comprises an ECT_ECU 400 that provides torque assistance at a timing not exceeding a traction limit, by adjusting the degree of driving power assistance provided by the motor generator 500 corresponding to the degree of acceleration required for the vehicle, and the ratio of the number of input rotation and the number of output rotation of the fluid coupling. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
