<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ignition coil which is equipped with a center core unit that can be aligned and capable of easily removing voids in a gap between the center core unit and a spool. <P>SOLUTION: The ignition coil 1 is equipped with the center core unit 5 with a cylindrical center core 54, a cylindrical spool 4 coaxially arranged outside the center core unit 5, a resin insulating material 8 filling the gap between the center core unit 5 and the spool 4, and a lid 61 possessing a core aligning part 610 for aligning the center core unit 5.
