<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design assisting device 1 and a design assisting method which enhance efficiency in design of an arrangement pattern of a solar battery module 20 and relieve a labor taken in the design. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of assisting the design of the arrangement pattern, shape characteristics of a roof surface 22 on which the solar battery module 20 is arranged are extracted by a shape characteristic extraction means 4. Next, a reference pattern in the shape characteristics of the same or similar roof surface is selected from a data base to the acquired shape characteristics of the roof surface 22. The arrangement pattern designed under the same or similar design conditions is confirmed to requested design conditions by indicating the selected reference arrangement pattern to a person in charge of the design. The person in charge of the design performs design of an arrangement pattern of an arranged object which is arranged at an arranging object as referring to the reference arrangement pattern. Consequently, the efficiency regarding the design of the arrangement pattern is enhanced, the labor of the person in charge of the design is relieved and determination of the arrangement pattern is assisted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
