PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel composition containing a large amount of an alcoholic fuel and capable of maintaining combustion for a long time. SOLUTION: This fuel composition consists of (A) a cross-linked material of (1) a polymer having (a) an essential constitution unit having carboxy group and/or sulfo group and 20-100 wt % ratio of the constituting unit based on the polymer (1), and substituting 30-100 mol % proton of the acid group with 1 kind or≥2 kinds onium cations selected from a group consisting of (I) quaternary ammonium cation, (II) tertiary sulfonium cation, (III) quaternary phosphonium cation, (IV) tertiary oxonium cation and (V) an alkylpyridinium cation, and the alcoholic fuel.
