PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply a portable optical fiber end processing device that can process an optical fiber end precisely without leaving a navel-like remain on the optical fiber axis center. SOLUTION: The device processes the optical fiber end with a cutter or a grinding member which is rotated by a drive source and is integrated in a case having a guide member with a hole through the guide facing the cutter or the grinding member. The case comprises a gripping part or integrates the gripping part or is provided with the gripping part with free mounting and removal. Insertion of an optical fiber into the guide hole of the guide member guides the optical fiber to the cutter or the grinding member and connects the fiber with the cutter or the grinding member so that the fiber end can be processed by the rotating cutter or grinding member.
