<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print instruction device and print instruction method, for changing printing conditions or performing re-printing at any time when printing is at a halt, under processing or completed, in addition to checking execution state during print processing. <P>SOLUTION: In the print instruction device for instructing the printing conditions needed for print data printing to a printing device, a "print instruction" folder 61 having sub-folders for each item of the printing conditions thereunder, a "printing state" folder 62 for checking the printing state, and the print data are displayed on a screen 60 of a display part. The "printing state" folder 62 has a "print processing completed" folder 63, an "under print processing" folder 64 and a "print processing reserved" folder 65. By moving or copying the print data to one of the folders 63, 64, 65, processing is executed according to the content of the folder which the data is moved or copied to, and each of the state under print processing, the print processing reserved state and the print processing completed state is respectively displayed.
