PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a colored interference caused by a dispersive channel. SOLUTION: The colored interference caused by the dispersive channel is removed by an adaptive whitening operation between RAKE fingers. Despreading is conducted by using both a channel estimating value and an impairment correlation estimating value, and delays of interest are selected together with a despreading mechanism which is useful to save an electric power by operating it only in time of the delays of interest.
