PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a fixing roll having a temperature distribution equivalent to that of a core bar shape which is thick in the center part with less loss of core bar base tube materials and to prevent occurrence of offset in the case of consecutive paper supply just after warming-up with an entirely cooled machine or consecutive supply of paper sheets having a narrow width, in a heat roll type fixing device used in an apparatus utilizing an electrophotographic process such as an electrophotographic machine and a facsimile. SOLUTION: A pipe 1 is provided in the inside of a center part of a core bar 21 constituting the fixing roll. Both end parts of the pipe 1 are fixed to the core bar 21 by rings 11 so as not to move in the axial direction. The core bar 21, a first insulating layer 3, a heat insulating layer 4, a heating body 5, a second insulating layer 6, a release layer base body 7, and a release layer 8 are successively constituted on the surface of the pipe 1. Both end parts of the fixing roll are provided with electrode terminals parts to be brought into contact with feeding means from the outside and electrode fixing members 10 for fixing and holding the electrode terminal parts.
