PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vortex flowmeter capable of holding to the same degree as hitherto, the height of a vane-shaped detection part of the vortex detector exposed to the inside of a measuring conduit even if the diameter of the measuring conduit is enlarged, and securing sensitivity of vortex detection. SOLUTION: In this vortex flowmeter comprising the measuring conduit wherein fluid flows, a columnar vortex generator for generating a vortex in the fluid, and the vortex detector arranged on the downstream side of the vortex generator, an L-shaped notch part having a prescribed height to the height D of the vortex generator is formed on a downstream side upper part of the vortex generator, and the vortex detector having the height h is arranged through a prescribed gap on the notch part.
