PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vegetable transplanter installing supporting bodies for supporting each of front wheels and rear wheels toward a chassis as freely rotating as up and down, joining each of the supporting bodies with a hydraulic cylinder through a lifting up and down linking mechanism for enabling left and right front and rear wheels as freely rotating as up and down, constituting a planting depth-adjusting means for adjusting the planting depth of vegetable seedlings planted on ridges together with lifting up and down the machine main body inexpensively for aiming to reduce the cost of the vegetable transplanter. SOLUTION: This depth-adjusting means of the vegetable transplanter 1 is equipped with a planting depth-operating lever 70 for lifting up and down the chassis, a ridge sensor roller 50 supported as freely rotating at the chassis, and a planting depth-linking mechanism for linking each of the planting depth-operating lever 70, a rotary shaft 55 of the ridge sensor roller 50 and a switching valve of the hydraulic cylinder 28.
