<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To download a program of a printer on IEEE1394 via the IEEE1394. <P>SOLUTION: As the program of the printer on the IEEE1394, for instance, various languages such as PS, PCL and LIPS are built in a host computer on the same IEEE1394. The printer downloads the languages via the IEEE1394 if necessary.
