<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize dynamic and optimal control corresponding to the change of environment light, in luminance setting of a display device for confirming an image or confirming control information by utilizing the photometry function of image inputting equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A display device-controlling method includes following functions: (1) when a digital camera and a PD printer having a display function are directly connected, the PD printer has a function to negotiate and confirm whether the digital camera has a function to transfer environment light photometry information and, on the basis of the photometry information, the display luminance can be changed into minimal luminance; and (2) when the digital camera itself has a display function, the luminance of the display device can be made optimal in accordance with the photometry conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
