PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify an individual commodity as individual to perform the management and sales analysis of the commodity.

SOLUTION: This commodity pricing device 3400 gives a bar code including an individual identifier for identifying the individual commodity as individual to each commodity. A commodity database 6000 stores the commodity code, commodity name, price, date of manufacture, weight, sales limit or the like of each commodity in association with the individual identifier. In a POS register 3600, the bar code given to the commodity is read, and a payment inquiry to a store computer 3100 by the individual identifier included in the bar code is performed. The store computer 3100 retrieves the commodity database 6000 to return the commodity name, price or the like to the POS register 3600, and further stores the sales date or the like in the commodity database 6000.
