PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving sprinkler needing no labor and time. SOLUTION: The sprinkler functions as follows: amplifying increase and decrease of water content in soil for a desired sensor using a lever to unlock the sprinkler from the lever so that the sprinkler starts such operations as to incline a sprinkling pipe or an opening/closing lid to sprinkle water; sprinkling part of sprinkling water on the sensor to recover the lock so that the sensor rises through sensing the difference in the amount of the sprinkled water after sprinkling so as to shut the lid to be locked to the lever; and thereby the sprinkling part gets back to the starting-up condition.
