PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display medium capable of rewriting by photoirradiation and capable of display in a wide hue range. SOLUTION: The image display medium is obtained by forming a photosensitive layer containing three or more photochromic compounds different from one another in maximum absorption wavelength in the coloring state on a supporting substrate, and in relation to a* and b* in the CIELAB color system at the time of measuring a color developed by a photosensitive layer formed using each of the photochromic compounds, the photochromic compounds include (A) a photochromic compound which satisfies -2/3×b*<a*<1/3×b* (b*>0), (B) a photochromic compound which satisfies -2/3×a*<b*<1/2×a* (a*>0) and (C) a photochromic compound which satisfies 6×a*<b*<1/3×a* (a*<0).
