PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the reliable and automatic distribution of a received facsimile document to a destination using an electronic mail without manual intervention. SOLUTION: A communication apparatus (100) for distributing the received facsimile document to the destination using the electronic mail includes a facsimile receiver (101) for receiving the facsimile document, a document format identifier (102) for discriminating the format type of the received facsimile document, and a mail transmitter (109) for transmitting the electronic mail about the facsimile document to a destination corresponding to the format type of the document.
