PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booster pump tub capable of preventing erroneous operations by the motor magnetic field of a pump and various types of defects from occurring even when a float switch utilizing magnetism such as a magnet and a reed switch is used. SOLUTION: This booster pump tub receiving drain from a drain source comprises the pump for discharging the drain to a drain treating apparatus and the float switch. Based on an output from the float switch, the operation of the pump is controlled by a control means. The float switch utilizing magnetism is used, and based on the output from the float switch, the control means starts the operation of the pump when water level in the booster tub is raised to a specified level or higher and stops the operation of the pump at specified intervals to control the operation of the pump based on the output from the float switch.
