<p>The invention relates to a modular seating arrangement comprising a seat which can be transformed into, notably, a short seat, a long seat and an integral bed. The invention consists of a frame comprising: pairs of telescopic posts; crossbars which are disposed between the aforementioned posts, a mattress (38) being disposed thereon; and means of connecting said crossbars to one another. The invention is characterised in that it comprises means (32) of securing the mattress (38) to the free end of the frame (12). The invention also relates to the item of furniture equipped with the inventive arrangement.</p> |
