The pipe for carrying a liquid (1) may be connected to a hose or a further pipe. Its end (5,6) may be cut off square and may be slightly deformed inwards to form a gently tapered outer surface (10). A radial outer flange (7,9) is formed by outward deformation, with the formation of an inner groove (8). The inner layer (2) of the pipe may be made of plastics, the middle layer (3) of aluminum or aluminum alloy and the outer layer (4) of plastics.
