The invention relates to an electrical circuit for voltage transformation, said electrical circuit being suitable for power factor correction. The invention enables a good power factor correction to be achieved with a high efficiency of between 80 % and 95 % in the MHz frequency region. To this end , few components suitable for high frequencies (capacitors, inductances, diode s and high frequency switches) are used. Said diodes are, for example, Schottk y diodes with SiC as the diode material. The high frequency switch comprises a powerful MOS transistor. |
