PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which can be manufactured at a low cost, is stable in electrostatic charge characteristics, hardly gives rise to toner scattering and texture staining even in a developing device of a high printing speed and is applicable as the toner for one component or two components (developer). SOLUTION: Toner base particles are formed by successively subjecting coloring matter, a binder resin (for example, a polyol resin) and wax to mixing, melt kneading, roll cooling, trituration, and air classifying. Small particles consisting of a calixarene compound are externally added to the resultant toner base particles and the small calixarene particles are fixed to the surfaces of the toner base particles by subjecting the particles to mixing/sticking treatment.
