PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of efficiently acquiring channel map data when a channel map is frequently revised at the time of opening of a new digital station or frequency revision or the like in a transit process from analog television broadcasting to digital television broadcasting. SOLUTION: Two tuners are used for channel searching. A first tuner performs discriminating of received channels in the order of higher frequency, and a second tuner performs discriminating of the received channels in the order of lower frequency so as to search all the channels. The searching can be completed in a short time at all times independently of the deviation in the distribution of broadcast channels. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
