PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which achieves security by repeatedly performing invalidating work on a storage area storing image data, according to the security level of image data. SOLUTION: A digital complex machine 1 is provided with an image read section 2, a communicating section 10, and a hard disk 12. The machine 1 is also provided with an image forming section 6 and an image data invalidating means. The image data invalidating means accepts image data and the invalidating conditions of the image date from external equipment PC1, PC2, etc., via the communicating section 10. The external equipment PC1, PC2, etc., indicate the invalidating conditions, corresponding to the security levels of the image data. The image data invalidating means repeatedly invalidates unwanted image data to be invalidated stored on the hard disk 12, according to the security levels by the image data invalidating conditions indicated from the equipment PC1, PC2, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
