PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a new service whereby a caller can be exempted for a prescribed time from paying charges caused when a recipient accepts a call automatically received by using an automatic telephone message recorder. SOLUTION: When a call is automatically received by an automatic telephone message recording function, an automatic call termination information transmission reception section 105 in a telephone set B transmits automatic call termination information to an exchange station 200. An automatic call termination information transmission reception section 203 in the exchange station 200 detects the transmitted automatic call termination information. A charging control section 204 avoids charging within a prescribed time as its control and transmits information denoting that the telephone set B automatically receives the call to a caller telephone set A, and the telephone set A informs the caller about the fact of automatic call termination and exemption of charging within a prescribed time by means of a display apparatus or the like.
