PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network management system capable of integrally managing logic configurations and positional configurations of devices configuring a network in network management. SOLUTION: In the network management system 1, a management object device can acquire geographical information with respect to the installed position of its own device and a network management section can manage the logic configuration and the positional configuration of a network on the basis of the geographical information and address information. Thus, it is possible to more properly manage the network and even when the network configuration (the installed state of the management object device) is changed, a new network configuration can easily be grasped at a low cost. Moreover, a fault (e.g., a communication disable state or the like takes place in part of devices due to a power failure) caused in the network can easily and accurately be predicted, and a proper countermeasure is taken to the fault.
