PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging device in which jaggy boundaries of chromatic colors can be reduced while enhancing the resolution. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging device is provided with a contour emphasis unit comprising a circuit 14 for generating a contour emphasis signal from the signal of G pixel (G signal) out of color signals of G pixel and B pixel, a circuit 15 for generating a contour emphasis signal from all color signals, and a circuit 16 for synthesizing the contour emphasis signals by determining the synthesization ratio of the output signal from the G signal contour emphasis signal generating circuit 14 and the output signal from the all signal contour emphasis signal generating circuit 15 based on the output results of all color signals, and adding a synthesized signal from the contour emphasis signal synthesizing circuit 16, as a contour emphasis signal, to a luminance signal from the solid-state imaging device 2.
