PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-viscosity liquid epoxy resin providing a cured product having excellent heat resistance and moisture resistance. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin is represented by formula (1) (wherein, G is a glycidyl group; R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 1-10C alkyl group or an aryl group; k and m are each an integer of 1-3; and n is an average number and a positive number of 0-8).
