PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution reducing an unprintable region on a sheet material, in a cutting device cutting the sheet material in a downstream side of a printing mechanism. SOLUTION: This cutting device is provided with: a cutting edge 35; a receiving member 37 opposed to the cutting edge 35; and a pushing member 36 disposed in the other side of a running route of the sheet material 100 relative to the receiving member 37. The pushing member 36/the receiving member 37 are provided with: a first pushing surface 36a/a first receiving surface 37a in the upstream side of the cutting edge 35, and a second pushing surface 36b/a second receiving surface 37b in the downstream side of the cutting edge 35 respectively, and are so constituted that the respective pushing surfaces and the receiving surfaces clamp the sheet material 100 to cut it by the cutting edge 35. The cutting edge is disposed eccentrically to the upstream side of an intermediate position Cx of an interval X formed between the first pushing surface 36a and the second pushing surface 36b.
