PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an out-of-water gas-liquid separator which performs gas-liquid separation of a gas and liquid from a gas-liquid pump out of water, utilizes the gas for suction force for solids etc., in the water, utilizes the liquid for intensification of an oxygen dissolved in the water, and can induce microair bubbles as well by a large suction force even at a shallow water depth. SOLUTION: A gas-liquid separation chamber is disposed outside the water in a position lower than a water surface, a discharge pipe is extended into the water from the gas-liquid separation chamber, and a bubble pump is provided. A gas siphon is extended downward from the upper part of the gas-liquid separation chamber and is connected to the middle of the bubble pump. A suction port of the bubble pump is extended into the water and a discharge port is installed at a position near the water surface or higher than the water surface. The gas and liquid are forcibly fed from the gas-liquid pump to the gas-liquid separation chamber where the gas and liquid are separated vertically. The liquid is discharged from the gas-liquid separation chamber through the discharge pipe into the water and the gas separated to the upper part of the gas-liquid separation chamber is admitted through the gas siphon into the bubble pump where the gas generates an ascending air bubble stream. Water or solids etc. in the water or near the bottom are sucked from the suction port in the water by the ascending air bubble stream and pulled up near to the water surface. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
