PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use images for precise diagnosis by displaying the image to be diagnosed simultaneously with the image to be referred to for comparison, and easily and correctly comparing these images. SOLUTION: An image synthesizing part 24 synthesizes ultrasonic diagnostic image data obtained by an ultrasonic probe 10, an ultrasonic wave transmission/reception control part 21, a signal processing part 22, and a DSC (digital selective calling) processing part 23, with clinical image data read from a reference image database 51 which is organized in a reference image data server 50, fetched via a network interface processing part 27, and developed by a graphics processing part 25.
