AQUEOUS SILICONE EMULSION FOR COATING WOVEN OR NONWOVEN TEXTILE SUBSTRATES

The invention concerns an aqueous polyorganosiloxane (POS) emulsion, for coating woven or nonwoven (fabric) substrates, designed to produce after thin-layered crosslinking an elastomer, as well as a corresponding coating method and the resulting coated substrates. The invention aims at providing a emulsion exhibiting rheological properties such that it can easily be deposited/applied on the textile substrate, at high speed, and in limited deposition proportions, for example, less than 40 g/m<2>. Therefor, the inventive emulsion comprises (A) a POS with Si-vinyl units, (B) a POS with Si-H units, (C) a special adherence promoter, (D) a catalyst, (E) at least one surfactant, (F) optionally a POS resin with Si-vinyl units, (G) optionally a crosslinkage inhibitor, (H) optionally a pH fixing agent, (I) optionally a formulation additive, (J) optionally a filler, (K) and water, the adherence promoter (C) being selected from the group of compounds comprising protective hydrocolloids, silanes and/or hydroxylated POS bearing per molecule at least one hydroxyl groups and at least one amine or salified function, and mixtures thereof, provided that the weight percentage of the adherence promoter (C) relative to the silicone phase ranges strictly between 0.005 and 10 %, preferably between 0.03 and 5 % and more preferably still between 0.05 and 4 %.
