The sliding liner has a rigid carrier plate (12) with a recess for a ventilation batten (18) running crosswise and fixed by its first long side to the carrier plate. A fixing device (36) is fitted to the second long side of the batten which limits the relative movement between the batten and the carrier plate when the sliding roof liner is operated, at least sufficiently to provide a considerable shape lock between the batten and the carrier plate in the region of the second long side.
