The engine has a stationary plate with intakes and outlets, a rotating plate with shaft, and a grid with hinged wall elements between the plates. The wall elements are variable, to prevent division of a chamber into two separate parts, and to increase the ratio between the volumes and the boundary surface of the chamber.
