PURPOSE: Provided is a troglitazone compound which effectively controls the hyperplasia of human large intestine cancer cells by increasing the activity of extracellular signal regulated kinase within the cells and inducing the p21Cip/WAF1 cell cycle regulator. CONSTITUTION: A troglitazone compound is represented by the formula(1), and performs a cytostatic operation for the human large intestine cancer. The cytostatic operation of the troglitazone compound is induced by the p21Cip/WAF1 cell cycle regulator.
