<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode plate for a lead-acid battery, wherein Sb can be evenly distributed in lead oxide powder having red lead as a main component, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: Powder having red lead containing Sb as the main component is mixed in a positive electrode active raw material. In this manufacturing method of the positive electrode plate, a lead alloy containing Sb is sintered at a temperature whereby Sb is not fused to manufacture the red lead. Thereby, the following conventional problems are solved: In a lead-acid battery to which the red lead is added for the purpose of enhancing formation efficiency, an active material is falling off during formation and the falling continues until the time when it is actually used: In a method of directly adding Sb or a Sb compound to the positive electrode active raw material, Sb is maldistributed, and Sb can not be efficiently distributed in the vicinity of the red lead. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
