<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: In a lithium polymer battery obtained by impregnating a high polymer solid electrolytic precursor in a graphitic negative electrode and then polymerizing it, since a radical produced during polymerization is consumed in graphite, an unreacted monomer remains, and a polymer battery having excellent long-lasting reliability can not be obtained, and further, in a polymer battery using physically cross-linked gel, since the gel is liquidized at high temperatures, liquid leakage is caused when something abnormal occurs. <P>SOLUTION: This lithium polymer battery is provided with a positive electrode, a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material of carbon material powder, and an electrolyte using chemically cross-linked gel. The carbon material powder comprises a mixture of at least two kinds of composite graphite material powder having mutually different physical property values, in which a low crystalline carbon material adheres to the surface of high crystalline graphite powder. A battery having high energy density and excellent long-lasting reliability (cycle characteristics) can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
