<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a communication fault caused by the influence of infrared light emitted from a display area of a video display device. <P>SOLUTION: Digital video signal data displayed on the video display device by optically being transmitted by radio to a photo-detector 2 installed on the side of the video display device 1, and a position to install the photo-detector and a received light orientation angle are set such that the display area of the video display device is not directly included in a field of view of the photo-detection of the photo-detector.
