<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric load device capable of dealing with detected failure by arranging two AC motors driven by boosted voltage obtained by boosting DC voltage. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 30 forcibly stops an inverter 14 and an inverter 31 if a DC/DC converter 12 stops due to a failure. If either of the inverters 14, 31 stops due to the failure when the DC/DC converter 12 is normal, the controller 30 forcibly stops the other inverter.
