<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for selecting interior equipment permitting a renter to select interior equipment suiting to his or her taste and lessor to increase added value of a room. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises an interior equipment database 11, interior equipment data selecting means (CPU 1, RAM 3, program storing section 10) selecting interior equipment data of interior equipment provided to the room from the interior equipment database 11, and finance determining means (CPU 1, RAM 3, program storing section 10) determining, as at least part of a deposit paid when a rental agreement is concluded, financial source of a fund required for providing to the room the interior equipment corresponding to the interior equipment data when the interior equipment data are selected. Thus, the renter can select interior equipment suiting his or her taste.
