<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the influence of the heat of adsorption by diluting a gas containing a high-concentration lower alcohol as an organic solvent and to keep the adsorption efficiency of lower alcohol when the gas containing the lower alcohol such as methanol of a high concentration (≥10,000 ppm) is treated by a serial multi-stage adsorption system. <P>SOLUTION: When the influence of the heat of adsorption is avoided by diluting the gas containing a high-concentration lower alcohol, a route from an outlet of the first adsorption tank to an inlet of the first adsorption tank and a flow rate regulating valve are arranged. At the first adsorption step a part of the treated gas at the outlet containing the moisture evaporated by the heat of adsorption is used for diluting the gas to be treated at the inlet so that the relative humidity of the gas to be treated is increased, the wet state of an adsorbing material is kept and the adsorption performance of lower alcohol is prevented from being deteriorated as the adsorption (drying) progresses. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
